For our headquarter in Augsburg we are looking for an experienced Propulsion System Engineer (m/f/d) to support our team and to contribute to the company's success in the future.

Propulsion System Engineer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
Related to ship propulsion and power systems:
- conceptual and preliminary design, evaluation of performance parameters (eventually using modelling and simulation), undertaking trade-off studies
- consultancy to customers and internal teams regarding propulsion system configuration options and support of requirements analysis loops
- specification of propulsion and power system functions/requirements
- negotiation with costumers regarding the scope of work/supply and interfaces
- communication with suppliers of major propulsion system components/sub-systems
- technical program execution incl. the role of technical program manager for orders for system integration and/or system supply
Your profile
- Degree in Marine Engineering or cognate disciplines, e.g. shipbuilding or mechanical engineering with experience in the marine industry
- Knowledge and practical experience in concept and detail design of ship's propulsion and power systems
- Knowledge and practical experience in the field of propulsion control systems
- Experience in modelling and simulation; basic knowledge in SysML and UML
- Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering Methods
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Assertiveness
- A good command of written and spoken German is considered of advantage, otherwise willingness to learn German
